A record number of Americans aren’t having sex

The steady increase in sexual suppression and repression in the USA over the years is having noticeable effects. An article on The Washington Post titled “The share of Americans not having sex has reached a record high” (March 29th 2019) has the following to say:

The share of U.S. adults reporting no sex in the past year reached an all-time high in 2018, underscoring a three-decade trend line marked by an aging population and higher numbers of unattached people.

But among the 23 percent of adults — or nearly 1 in 4 — who spent the year in a celibate state, a much larger than expected number of them were 20-something men, according to the latest data from the General Social Survey.

Jean Twenge, professor of psychology at San Diego State University and author of iGen: Why Today’s Super-Connected Kids Are Growing Up Less Rebellious, More Tolerant, Less Happy — and Completely Unprepared for Adulthood, said in an interview that growing sexlessness among America’s 20-somethings is primarily attributable to partnering up later in life.

For most of the past three decades, 20-something men and women reported similar rates of sexlessness. But that has changed in recent years. Since 2008, the share of men younger than 30 reporting no sex has nearly tripled, to 28 percent. That’s a much steeper increase than the 8 percentage point increase reported among their female peers.

With sexuality being suppressed starting from early childhood and well into early adulthood, this is really no surprise. All the written and unwritten rules in society regarding how men are supposed to interact with women form a significant barrier. And the rules keep piling up and getting absurder every year. It has become tedious and difficult, and in fact, even very dangerous, to approach women for any kind of intimacy. All the drama and scandals that we see online these days can certainly serve as evidence. These are the effects of mental castration and judging from the way things are going, it’s only going to get worse.

Not coincidentally, mental damage and sexual perversion has also increased as people try to find other ways to release their sexual energy. And now these people are even taught to have ‘pride’ in their suffering, which, again, only means that things are going to get worse as the underlying root cause (sexual suppression and repression) is left untreated.

And there are specific reasons for why this is allowed to continue to go on. Notice how in the above article there’s work mentioned by professor of psychology Jean Twenge, saying that “kids are growing up less rebellious, more tolerant, less happy.” Becoming less rebellious and more tolerant is exactly the reason for why sexual suppression and repression is implemented in society:

Sexual suppression has the function of making man amenable to authority, just as the castration of stallions and bulls has the function of producing willing draft animals. No one had thought about the devastating consequences of psychic castration, and no one can predict how human society will cope with them. Freud later confirmed the relation between sexual suppression and the attitude of submissiveness, after I had brought the issue to a head in my publications. Wilhelm Reich

Furthermore:

The ultimate purpose of castration is mental manipulation or mind control for the purpose of creating ideal slaves. […] Castration leads to severe mental trauma;4 it breaks an individual’s free will and ability to reason, has a severely negative impact on their intellect, and causes them to become docile and submissive.

Considering that children usually reach “puberty” between the ages of 11 and 13, they have to struggle for almost 6 years until they reach the “age of consent” when they’re allowed by most societies to (legally) have intercourse (assuming other rules in society don’t prevent them from easily doing so). If you can get a person to disobey their own strong sexual desires in favor of your demands for that long, you’ve essentially succeeded in beating them into submission. […] So by the time these children reach adulthood they’re ready to join the rest of the slave workforce of the State and be abused for most of their life.

It’s also obvious that living that kind of life isn’t going to make people happy either, so professor Jean Twenge made the right observations but may not have been able to identify the correct underlying cause and root problem.

America should have listened to the hippies who in the 1960s tried to put things on the right track, not only when it comes to freedom of information and the mistrust of authority, but especially their promotion of a free and open lifestyle when it comes to sexuality.
