Google’s Software is Malware
You may want to read this article titled “Google’s Software is Malware” on the GNU website, listing a number of problems with Google’s software and ethics. Highlights include back doors in their software, censorship and surveillance. After having quit most social media this week, I’m now also looking into getting rid of Google in my daily life.
If you have an Android phone (which typically comes preloaded with Google’s malware and is difficult to remove), I feel really sorry for you. Perhaps, like me, you might be interested in the Librem 5 phone coming out later this year. That phone is designed with security and privacy in mind, even having physical hardware switches to turn off your camera, microphone, WIFI and cellular connection so that malware can’t turn them on without your knowledge.
