FBI: No hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11

You’re not going to believe this one. Seriously, if you don’t want to ruin the rest of your day, stop reading right here.

It appears that the FBI admits that they don’t have any hard evidence to connect Bin Laden to 9/11. From here:

On June 5, 2006, the Muckraker Report contacted the FBI Headquarters, (202) 324-3000, to learn why Bin Laden’s Most Wanted poster did not indicate that Usama was also wanted in connection with 9/11. The Muckraker Report spoke with Rex Tomb, Chief of Investigative Publicity for the FBI. When asked why there is no mention of 9/11 on Bin Laden’s Most Wanted web page, Tomb said, “The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Usama Bin Laden’s Most Wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11.”

I’m sorry, but what? What was the whole war in Afghanistan all about then? And the Bin laden confession tape? What made Bush so confident that Bin Laden was behind 9/11 if even the FBI says that they have no hard evidence for that?? It’s like the author of that article states:

It shouldn’t take long before the full meaning of these FBI statements start to prick your brain and raise your blood pressure. If you think the way I think, in quick order you will be wrestling with a barrage of very powerful questions that must be answered.

Read the full article for more details. There’s also a bit more on this on George Washington’s blog, showing that the FBI was essentially saying from the very beginning that it was going to take a while before they were able to charge anyone with the attacks on 9/11. And as it appears now, Bin Laden hasn’t been charged simply because the FBI doesn’t have enough evidence.

It’s just incredible, the stuff that’s happening, and the failure of people to see what’s going on. In the same way, Iraq was also invaded, first because of involvement in 9/11. When it became clear that evidence for that was fabricated, Iraq had to be invaded because they had WMDs. And now that it’s clear even that was a lie, Iraq had to be invaded simply because Saddam was an evil man. And contrary to what the corporate media would have you believe, the situation in Iraq is getting worse every day. The death toll in Iraq is the highest yet so far.

As for the attacks on 9/11 themselves, there’s growing evidence that those attacks were an inside job. There’s a new interview with Professor Steven Jones available, where he discusses new evidence that shows that thermate was probably used to cut through the steel in order to bring down the WTC towers. This is a very interesting interview with some details into the science behind Jones’s claims. I highly recommend listening to it.
