I use some manual procedures for masking in Photoshop using channels. I tried some of the plugins but I found that they just don't work that well in every situation. The smoke machine is awesome (where did you buy it? H.J. de Vries?)
I like the color rendition and the overall creativity that is shown in the images.

The combination 40D and 24-70/2.8 is my dream combi.
I would be in a heaven-like mode if I had the same combi for my wedding shoots.
